How can an old-fashioned and somewhat conservative industrial manufacturer with decentralized structures and autonomous country organizations foster a vibrant culture of innovation? Despite traditional organizational patterns and potential conflicts, Phoenix Mecano AG has managed to awaken an entrepreneurial spirit and intrapreneurial mindset. Concrete case studies will demonstrate how core group values, engagement, and passion have led to innovative products, such as the electrically powered Ezoord Bike Repair Stand – built with the group’s sophisticated portfolio of lifting columns and innovative additive manufacturing techniques, featuring digital business models and community-building elements.
In our presentation, we’ll explore why innovations can’t always be initiated top-down, and how cultural openness within a traditional company helps overcome barriers and create new opportunities. Be inspired by how something unconventional can emerge – even in classic manufacturing environments.
