Migros is renovating its digital core (ERP) for its key business: the supermarket, the famous “orange M” by implementing SAP S/4HANA on RISE. This program is called EIGER, named after the famous and impressive Swiss mountain.
SAP projects are complex, because they implement end-to-end processes, entail all data and many interfaces. They deal with a high number of interdependences and typically touch super business criticial capabilities. In most cases, you cannot deploy SAP in small bits and pieces an deploy “when the team is ready”. So how does agility work in such a large, cross portfolio implementation? How do you manage to live agile principles like “pulling” work with fixed capacity and at the same time achieve fixed go live milestones with hundreds of activities that must be ready at one day, in quality, in standard?
In this presentation, Migros will provide insights how it delivers an S/4HANA implementation within the scaled agile framework. We talk about what are key success factors, what are failures and learnings, what is fun and what is not so much fun – and how we are climbing the EIGER, as one rope team, step by step.
We would love to speak with you.
